My connection to NYGH

Wednesday 3rd Jun My connection with NYGH started with being lucky enough to be in the care of my wonderful OB, Dr. Cherniak. She took such good care of me during pregnancy and left no stone unturned. There were extra appointments I had to do due to some added care and it was all done through NYGH. I had extra ultrasounds done with some really incredible doctors, the L&D team were really amazing every time we had to visit for checkups and even the clinics I had to be a part of, all the staff involved were beyond great. When it came to delivery day it was an emergency situation and I ended up needing to have Joseph 5 weeks early. The OB that did the surgery and explained everything that was happening was so calm and helped me to be calm in a very stressful situation. From the nurses, to the anesthesiologist, the assistance of others in the operating room, to even the nurse who offered to take the most memorable photos since I was put under for the surgery… they were all incredible. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with everyone in this hospital. My son ended up having to be in the NICU for a few weeks and the team there was beyond incredible. They took such good care of my son and taught us so much in the process as well. The postpartum care was also amazing, I will never forget it or the people who helped me recover.
